Expanded Northampton partnership

Northampton Community College, NCC, in Pennsylvania USA and Zibat have exchanged students for several years. But only for a week long stay. This is now going to change due to a new partnership agreement between the partners.

“Northampton and Zibat are similar in that we have the same philosophy. We want a partner with similar mission and values and the same level of education,” says Assistant Dean Manuel Gonzalez from Northampton Community College.

Northampton Community College in Pennsylvania USA and Zibat have for the last three years exchanged students for a week long stay. This is now going to change due to a newly signed agreement.

“We want to go to the next level. Instead of cultural ‘fun’ exchanges only for a week we want to go to the next level. This could be internet connected classes, classes skyping, dual degrees and faculty exchanges” says Assistant Dean Manuel Gonzalez who is, these days, visiting Zibat along with eight students.

Zibat chancellor Ulla Skaarup has signed the partnership memorandum with Northampton Community College:

“International exchange is one of our main focuses, and it’s importance is ever growing. Knowing that we already have a well functioning partnership with Northampton Community College, we are of course very pleased with this new and extended partnership agreement,” says chancellor Ulla Skaarup.
